Welcome to the jungle!

We left Hua Hin and the beautiful beach behind us via a smooth 6h train trip down south, and then 2h party taxi straight to the jungle, more specifically Khao Sok national park.

Monkey temple in HH

Party taxi comes from the disco lights in the ceiling, and the little detail that we were asked to put our own playlist on. I can promise that Cha cha cha has never been played so loud in Thailand before.

Khao Sok has the oldest rainforest in the country and is apparently no 2 globally when it comes to biodiversity, after Amazonas. We have seen hornbills and monkeys, been paddling kayak and swimming in the nearby river. Tomorrow is hiking day! :)

Good morning jungle!

Elephant rescue center. They don’t peel their bananas and eat about 300 kg of food/ day.

They didn’t touch Kiara’s hat…

Monkey temple 2. These fellows peel their bananas.

More new friends…

Spider in cave - bigger than my hand.

Strangling figs are excellent climbing trees
